Experienced TD at several Scholastic and Open Tournanents in the Northern VA area since 2010. Anand has been very active at several roles at the Greenbriar West Elementary (GBW) School in Fairfax County. GBW has been the Primary and Elementary School Champions at the State and National level for the past 10+ years. Both his children are Class A Players and have been very active since 1st Grade at GBW. He has been a very Active TD at the popular monthly McNair Scholastic Tournaments for the past 4 years, including the Annual Fairfax County Scholastic Team Championships sponsored by McNair. Over the last 3 years while his daughter was playing at the World Youth championships, he has worked and attended FIDE Seminars and Conferences. In his very own words "I am very glad to work with a Team of strong and dedicated professionals to form a League in Northern VA area that caters to very serious Chess Players in this area. I would like to do my best to support this league and get the strongest talent out in a fun but serious and competitive way."

Adam Weissbarth has taught thousands of children to play chess in New Mexico, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Washington. Many of his students have won local, state, and national championships. Adam has won numerous scholastic and adult tournaments all over the country, including two New Mexico High School Championships. Adam earned his National Master title in the winter of 2006 and became a USCF-certified Senior Tournament Director in 2009. He has appeared on the Howard Stern show and been profiled in Chess Life magazine. Upon the completion of his M.S. in Statistics from the University of Washington in 2005, Adam started Silver Knights Chess.

Paul Swaney has been teaching chess for close to 15 years in schools, small groups, and private lessons. In 2008, Paul received his degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2010, Paul started his own chess teaching company Think Ahead to serve schools in Fairfax County. Paul enjoys passing along the joy of the game to others by coming up with fun and interactive lessons for his students. Paul has received the Chess Coach of the Year award several times in the state of Virginia for K-3 and K-5 grade levels, and has coached many students privately to state and national titles.
